Ingredients

  • 1 nos pomfret fish


  • 4 tbsp oil


  • 1/2 tsp chopped onions


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 2 piece ginger


  • 8 nos garlic cloves


  • 1 nos green chili


  • 1 nos tamarind


  • 4 tbsp coconut


  • 1/4 tbsp mustard seeds


  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 3 tbsp red chili powder


  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder


  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Directions

  • Step 1: Make a paste by grinding ginger, garlic, green chili, soaked tamarind and grated coconut.
  • Step 2: Heat two tbsp of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.Step 3: Add chopped onion, curry leaves and saute it.
  • Step 4: Add the paste and mix well.
  • Step 5: Now, add all the spice powders and salt.
  • Step 6: Let it cook for about 3 minutes and switch off the stove.
  • Step 7: Make a line on both sides of a fish.
  • Step 8: Do spread the masala over the fish.
  • Step 9: Heat a pan and pour a tbsp of oil and put the fish.
  • Step 10: Let it cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame.
  • Step 11: Once it cooked, turn into another side. Let it cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame.
  • Step 12: Take out and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
