  • 2 cups Whole Moong (soak over night) 1 Onion (chopped) 3-4 Tomatoes (chopped) Salt (as required) 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 tsp Garlic paste 1/2 tsp Ginger paste 1 tsp Chilli powder 1 tsp Cummin powder (roast cummin and crush with roller pin) 1/2 tsp Cummin seeds Few Curry leaves

    Make vaghaar in ghee of cummin seeds, curry leaves with onions and saute till onions are browned up add tomatoes and spices, braise till paste like add moong and water cook till tender, sprinkle cummin powder and simmer remove from flame then garnish it with green chillies and corriander leaves. NB: can either boil moong first then put in vaghaar or make this in pressure cooker directly thats after vaghar put moong water and cook in pressure cooker.
