  • 1 cups maida

  • 3 tbsp sooji

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp ajwain seeds

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 4 nos for stuffing :potatoes

  • 1 nos onion

  • 1 cups green peas

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 sprig curry leaves

  • 1/4 tsp hing powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • combine Maida with sooji ajwain seeds oil milk and salt in a large bowl and knead into a soft dough
  • boil the potatoes and mash them nicely
  • add cooked green peas Chilli powder Garam Masala chopped onions Hing powder cumin powder curry leaves and salt to the mashed potatoes and mix them well
  • Take the dough and divide into equal sized portions
  • take one portion and roll into thin disc using rolling pin
  • cut out some long thin strips out of the leftover rolled dough. Add some colour to it.
  • Spoon some fillings in the centre of the rolled thin disc
  • gather the edges and tie with the thin long strips
  • secure with a clove at the centre of the thread
  • heat oil in a pan and carefully drop the money back into the oil.
