Ingredients

Serves 6

  • Besan (gram flour ) 3 cups

  • Ghee 1 cups

  • Sugar 1/2 cups

  • Water 1 bowls

  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

  • Cashew , almonds, pistachio nuts 2 tsp

Directions

    At first take all ingredients.

    Now in pan add ghee on gas and let it melt.

    Add besan (gram flour) on melted ghee and roast it for 20 minutes. Stir continuously.

    When Besan (Gram Flour) changes to a golden brown in colour and the roasted besan (gram flour) aroma will be felt then switch off the gas.

    Now take sugar and water in a wok and mix well for 10 minutes on medium flame.

    Add food colour (your preference).

    Add cardamom powder and boil very well.

    Cook very well the sugar syrup. Check the sugar syrup by hand and turn off the gas.

    Add besan (gram flour) mixture to the sugar syrup. Mix well everything.

    Now grease the plate with ghee.

    Take all besan (gram flour) mixture on the plate and press it lightly.

    Garnish with chopped cashew, almonds, pistachio nuts .

    Cut into barfi shape with knife.

    Keep it aside and cool. After cooling serve besan barfi .
