Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 -2 tbsp ghee


  • 1 cups grated lauki


  • 3 cups full fat milk


  • 12-13 nos cashews


  • 1/3 cups sugar adjust


  • 5-58 nos saffron strands


  • 1 tsp edible rose water


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Directions

  • melt ghee in a pan add Lauki and mix well
  • Saute Lauki for 4 minutes
  • add milk and mix well over low medium heat , bring the milk to boil for 5 to 6 minutes stirring occasionally
  • add Saffron and mix well and cook for 14 to 15 minutes during occasionally
  • add sugar and mix well
  • Add cardamom and cashews. Mix well
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes. Switch off. Add rose water and mix well
  • Kheer thickens on cooling. Garnish with nuts. Serve warm or cold as desired
