Ingredients

Serves 3

  • ghee 1 -2 tbsp

  • grated lauki 1 cups

  • full fat milk 3 cups

  • cashews 12-13 nos

  • sugar adjust 1/3 cups

  • saffron strands 5-58 nos

  • edible rose water 1 tsp

  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

Directions

    melt ghee in a pan add Lauki and mix well

  • 02

    Saute Lauki for 4 minutes

  • 03

    add milk and mix well over low medium heat , bring the milk to boil for 5 to 6 minutes stirring occasionally

  • 04

    add Saffron and mix well and cook for 14 to 15 minutes during occasionally

  • 05

    add sugar and mix well

  • 06

    Add cardamom and cashews. Mix well

  • 07

    Cook for 2-3 minutes. Switch off. Add rose water and mix well

  • 08

    Kheer thickens on cooling. Garnish with nuts. Serve warm or cold as desired
