Ingredients

Serves 4

  • milk powder 1 cups

  • desiccated coconut 1/2 cups

  • milk or as required 3-4 tbsp

  • ghee 1/2 tsp

  • powdered sugar 1/4 cups

  • cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

  • finely grated pistachio 1 tbsp

  • green food colouring 1-2 drop

  • saffron strands crushed 7-8 nos

  • kesar food colouring 1-2 drop

Directions

  • 01

    in a vessel add milk powder desiccated coconut sugar and cardamom mix well

  • 02

    add ghee and Milk 1 table spoon milk at a time .Do not add all the milk at once

  • 03

    Knead into semi soft dough

  • 04

    divide dough into two equal parts

  • 05

    To the first dough adf pistachio and green food colouring mix well

  • 06

    To the second dough, add Saffron and food colouring. Mix well

  • 07

    grease two aluminium foils place the Dough on them

  • 08

    roll pista and saffron dough into rectangle shape. both should be of same size

  • 09

    Flip one dough over the other

  • 10

    Using foil, roll them into log. Seal with foil. Refrigerate for 1 hour

  • 11

    Trim edges of the log from both sides. Place silver varq on top

  • 12

    Cut them into equal slices. Store in airtight container. Serve as required
