Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups moong daal (yellow)


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp sabzi masala


  • 1 tsp jeera/cummin seeds


  • 1 nos cinnamon stick


  • 2-3 cups coconut milk


  • 1 cups rice


  • 1 nos onion (sliced)


  • 2 tbsp ghee

Directions

  • In a pot put onion slices, jeera, cinnamon with 2 tbsp ghee and braise onion till pinkish color add moong dal n rice and mix well add coconut milk, sabzi masala, turmeric powder n salt
  • Cook jus like we make rice then simmer till done
  • We serve with haldoni (fish or prawn curry)
