Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Moong Daal (Yellow) 2 cups

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • Sabzi Masala 1/2 tsp

  • Jeera/Cummin Seeds 1 tsp

  • Cinnamon Stick 1 nos

  • Coconut Milk 2-3 cups

  • Rice 1 cups

  • Onion (sliced) 1 nos

  • Ghee 2 tbsp

Directions

  • 01

    In a pot put onion slices, jeera, cinnamon with 2 tbsp ghee and braise onion till pinkish color add moong dal n rice and mix well add coconut milk, sabzi masala, turmeric powder n salt

  • 02

    Cook jus like we make rice then simmer till done

  • 03

    We serve with haldoni (fish or prawn curry)
