Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Pitta Bread:Wheat flour or All purpose flour 3 cups

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Yeast 1 1/2 tsp

  • Oil 3 tbsp

  • Warm Water 1 cups

  • Greek Gyros: Boneless Chicken (shredds) 5-6 piece

  • Ginger/Garlic paste 1 tsp

  • Chilli flake 4-5 nos

  • little Vinegar 1 tsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Blackpepper powder 1/2 tsp

  • Chaat masala 1/4 tsp

  • Salad: Lettuce, Onions and Cucumber (shredds) 1/2 cups

  • Black pepper powder 1 pinch

  • Grated Cheese (Cheddar or Parmesan o Feta) 1/2 cups

  • Vinegar 1 tsp

  • Olive oil 1 tsp

  • Mayonaise (Optional) 2 tsp

Directions

    bind all using water to a soft dough and let it rest for an hour or 2

    punch back and make balls, let it rise for 15mins, then make thick (1/2 cm) hand sized puris cut one edge to give you pockets than lay pockets on greased tray, let it rise for 15mins den bake in oven on 200°C.

    Slit the puris from the cut edge to give a pocket

    Chicken Greek Gyros: Saute the above in oil til done

    Smoke the filling to give barbeque aroma (optional), (make a foil bowl, put 1/2 tsp ghee and put red hot charcoal then lower it in the chicken pan and cover it).

    let it cool

    Salad:mix ol well then add chicken and do filling in pockets.
