Flavourful Besan Ke Laddu

  • 4 cups chana dal flour or besan

  • 3-4 cups bura sugar/ powder sugar or crystallised sugar

  • 3 cups ghee or clarified butter

  • 1-2 tbsp finely chopped mixed dry fruits

  • 2 pinch cardamom powder


  • Heat ghee in a pan and add chana dal flour
  • Saute' chana dal flour or besan on very low heat
  • Untill it changes colour and become golden brown and very light in texture
  • It will start forming bubbles
  • Now switch off heat and add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits
  • Mix well and let it cool for sometime
  • Now add bura sugar ,mix well with hand by kneading
  • Prepare balls or laddus of your desired size
  • Lightly coat in some sugar and keep aside to cool completely
  • Later store in air tight container enjoy festivities endlessly with family and friends
