Bhel Served in Bowls of Lijjat Papd. My all time favourite Evening Snack. Jhatpat and spicy .

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cups puffed rice


  • 1/4 cups finely chopped tomatoes


  • 1/2 cups finely chopped onions


  • 1 tsp grated ginger


  • 1 1/2 tsp sev


  • 3-4 tbsp green chutney


  • 2-3 tbsp red chutney/sweet chutney


  • 1/2 tsp black salt


  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1/4 cups chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 nos juice of lemon


  • 1 cups for green chutney: coriander leaves (cilantro)


  • 1/2 cups mint leaves


  • 2-3 nos green chillies


  • 1 nos chopped onion


  • 2 nos cloves of garlic


  • 1 tsp chaat masala as per choice


  • 1 tsp sugar just to taste


  • 1/2 nos juice lime


  • 2 tbsp for the sweet chutney: tamarind


  • 5 nos more dates pitted and roughly chopped


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp fennel powder


  • 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder (saunth)


  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 pinch garam masala


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1/2 cups water as per desired consistency

Directions

  • Take 1/2 cup water in a plate.
  • Dip in the lijjat papads in it and immediately transfer into a bowl.
  • by giving a shape of bowl shape it and microwave it for 45 sec to 1 minute.
  • gently take it out and set aside.
  • Prepare Bhel:
  • Add all other ingredients in a wide bowl.
  • Whisk a little by a spoon or a spatula. Taste, adjust the taste and whisk again.
  • Garnish with sev and fresh coriander.
  • Transfer this bhel to papad and Serve immediately as it might become soggy.
