  • 250 gms khoya/mawa

  • 200 gms brown sugar (patanjali)

  • 1/2 tsp elaichi powder

  • 2 tsp ghee

  • 4 tsp milk


  • Mathura ke pede is a popular sweet of North India. It is made in many ways. It is so easy to make & tasty too. Normally people made it with white sugar powder but I have made it using brown sugar.
  • Heat Kadhai. Saute khoya till light brown and leaves Ghee. Then add ghee or milk. Saute again until milk or ghee mix well. Switch off gas. Let it cool down.
  • Then add ellaychi powder and 150 gm sugar. Keep 50 gm sugar aside for coating.
  • Mix sugar & ellaychi powder in khoya. Mix well.
  • Make lemon size balls & give the shape of peda.
  • Coat these peda in brown sugar
  • Mathura ke pede is ready. Keep it in fridge for 1 hour before serving.
