Ingredients

Serves 10

  • Maida 1/2 kgs

  • Oil 3 tbsp

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • For stuffing-Finely greated dry coconut 3 cups

  • Suji (roasted in ghee) 3 tbsp

  • Powdered sugar 2 1/2 cups

  • Mix dryfruits(roasted and crushed) 2 tbsp

  • Cardamom powder 2 tsp

  • For layered spread-Ghee 1/2 cups

  • Rice flour 1 cups

  • Oil for frying 500 ml

    In a bowl take maida,oil,salt mix well and knead the flour to make nice dough.Cover it for 30 minutes.

    In another bowl add greated dry coconut,roasted suji,powder sugar, cardamom powder,dry fruits and mix vry well.

    Make 6 equal size ball from the dough.

    Take 3 balls and roll them big flat roti seperatly.

    Apply ghee on each roti and sprinkle rice flour on it.

    Place all roti on each other and roll tightly roll it again.

    Cut into 2 inch small pieces.

    Again roll one small piece into small poori size shape and fill stuffing in it.

    Close properly wih help of applying water on the edges.

    Deep fry layered Karanjis in oil on medium heat until it turns golden brown colour from boh the slides.
