  • 2 cups rice flour

  • 1 cups gramflour

  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste

  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder

  • 3 tsp oil for dough

  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

  • 1 cups oil for frying


  • put rice flour, besan, cumin, sesame seeds, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder carrom seeds and 3 spoon hot oil in large bowl.
  • mix well and add little hot water, start to knead the dough.
  • The consistency of the dough should be like regular chapati dough. Cover it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • Deep hand in water, take big enough ball from the dough and add in chakli maker and make murukku in to desired shape.
  • Deep fry murukku till it gets light brown colour from all sides on midium flame.
