  • 1 cups rice flour

  • 3/4 cups water

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp ghee

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder

  • 3-4 cups oil


  • In a heavy bottom pan add water and wait till it gets boil.
  • Now add salt,ghee,rice flour. Switch off the flame immediately after adding the rice flour.
  • Add chilli powder and cumin seeds. Mix all using a large spoon.
  • Wait for 3 to 4 mins to get it cool.
  • Knead the dough well. Take hand ful of the dough and make the murukku using the murukku press ( i used single hole star mould)
  • Heat the oil and fry the murukku. Flip both sides. When the color changes take it out for serving.
  • Instant crispy murukku is ready to serve..
