  • 2 bowls gram flour or besan

  • 3 tsp desi ghee

  • 5-6 nos ,almonds soaked and peeled and chopped

  • 1/2 cups shakkar or jaggery powder

  • 240 ml water


  • Roast besan in hot desi ghee
  • Make it little golden.when it spreads oil all around just turn off the gas.
  • Now in other pan make the water hot and put two tablespoons of jaggery powder to make syrup.
  • I will not recommend to use sugar syrup bcuz I always feel jaggery syrup is much better for chakki than sugar syrup
  • Boil for 10 minutes minimum
  • Add in roasted besan and chopped almonds
  • Set it on one side to a make cool flat paste
  • Cut ready material with knife into little pieces to make small chakkis
  • Yummy chakkis are ready to serve as very nice homemade sweet
