Soak the moong dhal for 2 hrs and pressure cook it for 4 to 5 whistles. Mash it well
In a pan add jaggery,coconut,mashed dhal,cardamom powder. Cook until it gets thick.
Allow it to cool. Make them into medium size balls.
Make thick batter of all purpose flour,rice flour,salt and water.
Dip the poornam in batter and fry in the oil. Till it turns crispy.
Now our delicious suiyam is ready to serve.
Tip: you can also use chena dhal for the poornam
