  • 1 cups besan flour

  • 1 cups sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups ghee or clarified butter


  • In a heavy bottom pan dry roast the besan flour till the raw smell of the besan flour gone.
  • Melt the ghee and add the besan flour. Mix it vigorously to avoid lumps.
  • In another pan add sugar and water. Stir continuously until you get 1 string consistency.
  • Add ghee-besan mixture to the sugar syrup. Stir continuously.
  • Gently add the remaining ghee in to the mixture.
  • Stir till the ghee got separates from the sides of the pan.
  • Grease a plate with ghee and pour the mixture. Spread it and allow it to cool
  • Cut the mysorepak to your desired shapes.
