  • 1 cups cashew nuts

  • 3/4 cups sugar

  • 2 tsp ghee

  • 1/4 cups water


  • Grind the cashew nuts to a fine powder
  • In a heavy bottom pan add sugar and water.
  • Make the sugar syrup for 1 string consistency
  • Then add powdered cashew nuts. Stir well
  • Stir continuously until the mixture gets thick and non sticky in the pan
  • wait till it gets cool for room temperature
  • Now Knead the mixture and make it like chapathi dough.
  • Roll it using rolling pin...
  • Grease a plate with ghee and put this rolled dough and cut it into pieces
  • Now delicious and traditional kaju katli is ready for this diwali
  • Tip : make sure that cashew nuts are crispy while grinding to make powder. If not dry roast it for 3 mins.
  • Tip 2 : you can also keep in microwave for 30 seconds to get crispy.
