Ingredients

Serves 4

  • cashew nuts 1 cups

  • sugar 3/4 cups

  • ghee 2 tsp

  • water 1/4 cups

Directions

    Grind the cashew nuts to a fine powder

    In a heavy bottom pan add sugar and water.

    Make the sugar syrup for 1 string consistency

    Then add powdered cashew nuts. Stir well

    Stir continuously until the mixture gets thick and non sticky in the pan

    wait till it gets cool for room temperature

    Now Knead the mixture and make it like chapathi dough.

    Roll it using rolling pin...

    Grease a plate with ghee and put this rolled dough and cut it into pieces

    Now delicious and traditional kaju katli is ready for this diwali

    Tip : make sure that cashew nuts are crispy while grinding to make powder. If not dry roast it for 3 mins.

  • 12

    Tip 2 : you can also keep in microwave for 30 seconds to get crispy.
