Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 litre full fat milk


  • 1/3 cup sugar adjust


  • 4 tbsp chopped nuts


  • 1 generous pinch saffron


  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon rose water

Directions

  • Heat milk in deep bottom vessel
  • bring milk to boil stirring occasionally
  • take out 2 tablespoon milk in a bowl add Saffron and soak it in milk
  • Cook milk until it is reduced to half .Add Saffron milk, sugar, cardamom and mix well cook for another 4-5 minutes
  • allow to cool the room temperature
  • Blend basundi for better creamy texture. This is optional step
  • Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with nuts just before serving
  • Serve cold
