Ingredients

Serves 25

  • Flattened Rice 1 kgs

  • Groundnuts 1/4 kgs

  • Dry Coconut 200 gms

  • Cashewnuts 100 gms

  • Salt To taste 3 tsp

  • green chillies 10 nos

  • Curry Leaves 25-30 nos

  • Mustard seeds 1-2 tsp

  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp

  • Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • Gathiya for garnishing 1 nos

Directions

    Dry roast flattened rice in a dekchi

  • 02

    Remove in a bowl once done and keep aside

  • 03

    Heat oil in a same dekhi

  • 04

    Add mustard and cumin seeds and saute

  • 05

    Add chopped green chillies and saute again

  • 06

    Add curry leaves and saute

  • 07

    Add asafoetida

  • 08

    Add groundnuts and saute for about 5 to 10 minutes

    Add cashew nuts and saute again for 5 minutes

  • 10

    Add dry coconut and saute again

  • 11

    Once dry coconut turns golden brown in color add turmeric powder

    Add salt and give it a mix

  • 13

    Add dry roasted flattened rice and mix well

  • 14

    Remove in a serving bowl

  • 15

    Garnish with some gathiya
