  • 5 cups masoor dal soaked for 8 hours

  • 1 tsp black salt or common salt

  • 2 cups oil for frying


  • Soak masoor dal overnight or 8 hours
  • Wask it twice and spread it on a cotton cloth. Let it dry.
  • Heat oil and deep fry masoor dal.
  • Remove it on a tissue paper and remove the excess oil.
  • Add some salt and toss it gently.
  • The crunchy savory madoor dal is ready to eat.
