  • 1 cups black channa

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 3-4 piece ginger sliced

  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/2 tsp urad dal

  • 2 nos green chilli splitted

  • 2 sprig curry leaves

  • 2 tsp salt


  • Wash and soak the black Channa for 6 hrs or overnight.
  • Now pressure cook the Channa with enough water to soak, salt and Ginger. Give it upto 5 whistles.
  • Once the pressure comes down, filter the water from Channa and take out the ginger pieces.
  • In a pan, add oil when hot add mustard seeds, urad dal, green chilli and Curry leaves and once they splutters add the cooked Channa.
  • Now the Sundal is ready to eat.
  • If you want you can add onion while tempering and after taking from heat also grated coconut can be added.
