Ingredients
Serves 4
chana dal (soaked for 8 hours) 4 cups
garlic cloves 15-20 nos
cumin powder 1 tsp
coriander powder 2-3 tsp
salt to taste 1 tsp
red chilly powder 2-3 tsp
oil for frying 2 cups
Directions
Wash soaked chana dal twice.
Spread on a paper napkin and let it dry.
Heat oil in a wok and fry this dal till it turns golden brown.
Remove it on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
Sprinkle some salt and mix it. Keep it aside.
In a mixer grinder take some salt, garlic, red chilly powder, cumin and coriander powder. Grind it to coarse paste without water.
Now take the fried dal and apply these garlic paste all over it. Mix it well.
The garlicky chana dal is ready to eat.
You can add red chilly powder as per your taste. It is one of the best munching snack of diwali season.
