Bring milk to boil in deep bottom vessel by stirring occasionally
Add lauki and mix well
Cook until mixture starts thickening
Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves
Add khoya and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes
Add food colouring if required and mix well
Add 3 tbsp cashews and cardamom. Mix well. Cook until mixture thickens completely
Pour mixture into greased dish and level evenly
Garnish with nuts on top. Refrigerate until set
Slice into desired shape and serve
Best used within 2 days
