Ingredients

Serves 4

  • full fat milk 3.5 cups

  • grated Lauki 2 cups

  • cardamom powder 1 tsp

  • grated Khoya 1.5 cups

  • sugar adjust 1/2 cups

  • nuts 3 tbsp

  • nuts for garnish 4 tbsp

  • drop green food colouring optional 1-2 drop

Directions

    Bring milk to boil in deep bottom vessel by stirring occasionally

    Add lauki and mix well

  • 03

    Cook until mixture starts thickening

  • 04

    Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves

  • 05

    Add khoya and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes

  • 06

    Add food colouring if required and mix well

  • 07

    Add 3 tbsp cashews and cardamom. Mix well. Cook until mixture thickens completely

  • 08

    Pour mixture into greased dish and level evenly

  • 09

    Garnish with nuts on top. Refrigerate until set

  • 10

    Slice into desired shape and serve

  • 11

    Best used within 2 days
