Ingredients

Serves 4

  • finely grated Lauki/ Bottle Gourd 2 cups

  • dessicated Coconut 3/4 cups

  • milk 1/3 cups

  • ghee 3-4 tbsp

  • chopped nuts 3-4 tbsp

  • cardamom 1/4 tsp

  • more sugar adjust 1/3 cups

  • more sugar adjust 1/4 cups

  • green food colouring optional 1-2 drop

Directions

    Heat ghee in deep bottom vessel

  • 02

    Add grated lauki and mix well

  • 03

    Saute lauki for 3-4 minutes. Add milk and mix well. cook for 4-5 minutes

    Add sugar and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes

  • 05

    Add food colouring and mix well. This is optional. This gives beautiful green colour to Laddu

  • 06

    Add cardamom and mix well. Cook until mixture becomes dry

    Allow mixture to cool completely

  • 08

    Add nuts to mixture and mix. Add dessicated Coconut 2-3 tbsp at a time and mix. Do not add all 3/4 cup at a time. Add as required

    Grease palms and shape mixture into Laddos. Roll over dessicated Coconut. Serve cold
