  • 270-280 gms boiled sweet potato

  • 1 cups sugar

  • 1/2 cups water

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom

  • 1/4 cups grated khoya

  • 1 tsp rose water


  • Mash warm sweet potatoes until lump free
  • Add grated khoya. Mix well to form soft smooth dough
  • Grease palms. Shape dough into small/ medium balls without cracks
  • Dissolve sugar in water and cook until 1/2 string consistency is achieved. switch off
  • Add rose water and cardamom. Mix well. Keep it aside
  • Deep fry sweet potato balls over low medium heat until deep brown
  • Drain excess oil and immediately drop in warm sugar syrup
  • Rest aside for 2 hours or more. Garnish with nuts. Serve cold
