Take a pan.
Heat 2 cups of water into it.
Add the broccoli stalks.
Cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
After that add the broccoli florets into it.
Also add onions, garlic, celery and salt.
Mix it well.
Cook it for 5 minutes.
Stir it occasionally.
After that Remove from the flame.
Allow it to cool a little.
Once slightly cooled, blend with a hand blender till smooth.
Transfer the prepared broccoli mixture into the same pan.
Now in one cup add milk and cornflour.
Mix it well.
Make sure there will be no lumps.
Add the cornflour-milk mixture in pan.
Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Add the black pepper powder and roasted almond slivers.
Mix it well.
Cook on a medium flame for another 1 minute.
garnished with almond slivers.
Serve hot.
