Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped broccoli stalks


  • 1 cup broccoli florets


  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions


  • 1 tsp finely chopped garlic


  • 1 tsp finely chopped celery


  • salt to taste


  • 1/2 tsp cornflour


  • 1/2 cup milk


  • 1 tsp black pepper


  • 1 tbsp roasted almond slivers


  • 2 tsp roasted almond slivers for garnish

Directions

  • Take a pan.
  • Heat 2 cups of water into it.
  • Add the broccoli stalks.
  • Cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • After that add the broccoli florets into it.
  • Also add onions, garlic, celery and salt.
  • Mix it well.
  • Cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Stir it occasionally.
  • After that Remove from the flame.
  • Allow it to cool a little.
  • Once slightly cooled, blend with a hand blender till smooth.
  • Transfer the prepared broccoli mixture into the same pan.
  • Now in one cup add milk and cornflour.
  • Mix it well.
  • Make sure there will be no lumps.
  • Add the cornflour-milk mixture in pan.
  • Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add the black pepper powder and roasted almond slivers.
  • Mix it well.
  • Cook on a medium flame for another 1 minute.
  • garnished with almond slivers.
  • Serve hot.
  • Broccoli Almond Soup is ready to be serve.
