  • big size crabs 1 nos

  • large/jumbo prawns 6 nos

  • carrot 1 nos

  • big tomato 1 nos

  • slice of Ginger 1 nos

  • garlic cloves 2 nos

  • onion 1/4 nos

  • green chilli 1 nos

  • olive oil 1/4 tsp

  • lemon zest 1/4 tsp

  • salt or to taste 1 tsp

  • freshly crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp

    cut crab and its claws into big pieces (save the legs for the stock)

    clean the prawns, discard the shells

  • 03

    cut the carrot, Ginger, onion into large chunks and boiled them in 2 cups of water for 5 minutes

    switch off the gas and drop one whole tomato into it. After few minutes pull of the skin of the tomato and grind it along with carrot mix with some water. Reserve the remaining water.

    put the legs of crab into a mixer jar with water and grind it. Strain the crab stock and keep aside.

    in a pan heat up oil add chopped garlic and green chilli. Add lemon zest.

    Add crabs and prawns, salt and crushed pepper. Saute for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.

    Now add ground carrot along with its reserved water and crab stock. Simmer until it starts boiling.

    Mix cornflour in little water and add to the soup. Let it boil for 5 minutes. You can adjust the thickness as per your liking.

    Add butter, give it a stir and switch off the flame.

    Serve your wholesome soup with some toasted garlic bread.
