Ingredients

Serves 8

  • mussels cleaned 15 nos

  • rice flour 1 3/4 cups

  • grated coconut 1 1/4 cups

  • shallots 10-15 nos

  • cinnamon 1 inch

  • Fennel seeds 3 tsp

  • chilli powder 1 1/4 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • peppercorns 5 nos

Directions

    Mix rice flour and coconut. Keep aside.

  • 02

    Blend other ingredients to smooth paste.

  • 03

    Adjust salt.

  • 04

    Add in the grounded paste to the flour mixture and combine.

  • 05

    Add hot water to the mixture and make a dough out of it.

  • 06

    Stuff this dough inside the mussel shells.

  • 07

    Steam for 15 min.

  • 08

    Enjoy it with a glass of plain tea.
