Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups green moong dal


  • 1/4 cups chana dal,soaked for 3 to 4 hours


  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste


  • 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)


  • 2 pinch sugar


  • 1 1/2 tsp green chilli and ginger paste


  • 8 tbsp crumbled paneer


  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander


  • 1 tsp chaat masala


  • 2 tsp dried pudina powder


  • 1/2 tsp paneer masala


  • 1 nos medium onion finely chopped


  • 1 nos tomato finely chopped


  • 1 nos small capsicum finely chopped


  • 1/4 tsp extra virgin olive oil for roasting each chilla

Directions

  • Combine the moong and chana dal along with little water and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  • Transfer it to a bowl, add the salt, asafoetida, sugar and green chilli-ginger paste and mix well.
  • For filling- -mix paneer, onions, capsicum, tomato, salt, chaat masala, paneer masala and mint powder.
  • Heat 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil in a tava and pour a ladle full of the batter and spread it evenly to make a thin round of 6 inches.
  • Flip and cook from other side also
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of paneer mixture and fold the chilla and cook on a medium flame, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make more chillas
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney or coconut chutney. Enjoy.
