Ingredients

  • green moong dal 2 cups

  • chana dal,soaked for 3 to 4 hours 1/4 cups

  • salt or to taste 1/2 tsp

  • asafoetida (hing) 1 pinch

  • sugar 2 pinch

  • green chilli and ginger paste 1 1/2 tsp

  • crumbled paneer 8 tbsp

  • finely chopped coriander 2 tbsp

  • chaat masala 1 tsp

  • dried pudina powder 2 tsp

  • Paneer masala 1/2 tsp

  • medium onion finely chopped 1 nos

  • tomato finely chopped 1 nos

  • small capsicum finely chopped 1 nos

  • extra virgin olive oil for roasting each chilla 1/4 tsp

Directions

    Combine the moong and chana dal along with little water and blend in a mixer till smooth.

    Transfer it to a bowl, add the salt, asafoetida, sugar and green chilli-ginger paste and mix well.

    For filling- -mix paneer, onions, capsicum, tomato, salt, chaat masala, paneer masala and mint powder.

    Heat 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil in a tava and pour a ladle full of the batter and spread it evenly to make a thin round of 6 inches.

    Flip and cook from other side also

    Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of paneer mixture and fold the chilla and cook on a medium flame, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.

    Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make more chillas

  • 08

    Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney or coconut chutney. Enjoy.
