Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Jewfish: 1 medium sized


  • Ginger: 1 inch piece


  • Garlic: 10 to 12 cloves


  • Soy Sauce: 4 tsp


  • Vinegar: 1 tsp


  • Capsicum: 1


  • Green chillies: 2 to 3


  • Spring onions white: 1 bowl


  • Spring onions green: 1 bowl


  • Salt: 1 to 2 tsp


  • Oil: 5 to 6 tbsp


  • Cornflour: 4 tsp


  • Refined flour: 4 tsp


  • Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsp


  • White pepper powder: 1/2 tsp


  • Red chilli sauce: 1 tsp


  • Green chilli sauce: 1 tsp

Directions

  • Marinate fish pieces with ginger garlic paste, soy sauce, salt and red chilli sauce for about 10 minutes
  • Add cornflour, refined flour and white pepper powder to coat fish pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Shallow fry marinated fish pieces
  • Flip sides in between and fry till colour changes to golden brown
  • Remove on a kitchen roll and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a wok
  • Add spring onions white and saute on a high flame
  • Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute again
  • Add slit green chillies and saute
  • Add chopped capsicum and saute
  • Add chopped spring onions green and mix it well
  • Add soy sauce, green chilli sauce and vinegar and give it a mix
  • Add fried fish pieces and mix well
  • Add cornflour slurry and give it a mix
  • Adjust seasoning
  • Mouthwatering Jewfish Chilli is ready to serve
  • Remove on a serving plate
  • Garnish with some chopped spring onions green
