Clean and slit on both sides of fish.
Dry roast coconut, black pepper, coriander powder and chilli powder for 2 minutes.
In grinder put roasted masala, green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, lemon juice and 1-2 spoon of water to make a fine paste.
Add salt and turmeric into the grounded masala.
Apply the masala on the fish both sides well.
Heat oil in the pan and shallow fry the fish both sides till golden brown in colour.
Serve hot.
