Farfalle with Shredded Chicken and Cream

Serves : 4
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cups carrots,chopped

  • 1 kgs farfalle (bow-tie pasta)

  • 1/2 cups chopped fresh basil

  • 2 tbsp cheese

  • 1 cups tomato puree

  • 1 cups chicken ,shredded

  • 1 nos chopped onion

  • 3-4 nos garlic cloves, minced

  • 2-3 nos red pepper ,crushed


  • Clean the shredded chicken pieces in running water and drain them well.Keep Aside.
  • Heat oil in a Heavy bottom skillet over medium flame.
  • Saute Shredded Chicken pieces in the oil along with the crushed red pepper.
  • Evenly splt the shredded pieces with the help of fork in regular intervals for 5 minutes.
  • Add in carrot,onions and garlic and saute this until natural aroma goes off.
  • Add tomatoes and cream.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until chicken piece mixture thickens. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Meanwhile heat a large pot of water and add in salt.
  • Cook pasta in this pot and cook this until tender but firm to bite.
  • Drain this until water is little.
  • keep aside 1 cup salt water from the pot which we cooked pasta
  • Add chicken pieces mixture and heat medium-low heat until sauce coats pasta.
  • now add the 1 cup water if the mixture becoming dry.
  • Transfer pasta to serving dish.
  • Sprinkle with basil. Serve, passing cheese separately.
