Ingredients

Serves 3

  • King Fish 6 slices

  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp Lemon juice 2 tsp Pepper powder 1/4 tsp Asafoetida 1/2 tsp Rice flour for coating Salt to taste Coconut Oil for shallow frying water as required

Directions

    Wash and clean king fish slices and apply salt. Set aside for half an hour.

    Meanwhile in a mixing bowl add red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice, asafoetida and pepper powder. Mix well.

    Pour water in little quantities till smooth thick paste.

    Coat fish well with prepared paste and set aside for 15 minutes.

    In a plate add rice flour and coat marinated fish by gently pressing till they are well coated.

    Heat a pan for shallow frying. Drizzle some coconut oil and when it is Medium hot place marinated fish one by one.

    Fry in a medium flame both the sides evenly till they are perfectly cooked.

  • 08

    Serve hot king fish fry with red rice and fish curry.
