Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Wheat Flour 250gms


  • Oil 100gms


  • Salt 1 1/2 spoon


  • Soya chunks 75 gms


  • Kuzhambu Chilly powder 2 spoons


  • Ginger Garlic paste 1 spoon


  • Cinnamon 1/2 inch


  • Cloves 2


  • Fennel seeds powder 1/2 spoon


  • Coconut paste 4 spoons


  • Potato 250 gms


  • Onion 1


  • Tomatoes 2


  • Curry leaves 1 bunch


  • Coriander leaves 1/2 handful

Directions

  • Soak Soya chunks in hot water for 10 minutes
  • After 10 minutes drain water, add cold water and squeeze well.
  • Cut onion and tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Remove the skin of the potatoes and cut them into small pieces
  • Put a cooker on the gas and add 4 spoons oil
  • Add cinnamon and cloves
  • After they splutters add onion and tomatoes one by one
  • Saute for 5 minutes and add ginger garlic paste.
  • Add fennel seeds powder and curry leaves
  • Add Kuzhambu chilly powder and salt.
  • Saute for 2minutes and add required amount of water
  • Boil it for 5 minutes
  • Add potatoes and soya chunks
  • Close the cooker and cook it upto 3 whistles
  • Open the cooker after 10minutes and add coconut paste.
  • Transfer it to the serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with soft Chapathi
  • For Chapathi knead the wheat flour with 3/4 spoon powder salt and 4 spoons oil
  • Close the dough for 30 minutes with a wet cloth
  • Soft chapathis can be prepared with this dough after 30 minutes
