Serves : 4
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste or chopped

  • 1 nos onion finely chopped

  • 2 nos large boiled, mashed potatoes

  • 1-2 nos green chilies (chopped)

  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)

  • 1 cups gram flour

  • 2 pinch baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste

  • 1 sprig curry leaves

  • 1 tsp rai , mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp red chili powder to taste

  • 1 tsp amchur powder

  • 1 tsp everest garam masala powder

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 cups oil for frying


  • Heat a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves, onions, green chillies, sauté and, add ginger garlic paste,salt, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander,mashed aaloo and mix well.
  • In a bowl add besan, turmeric powder, little salt, baking soda and chilli powder to it.
  • Add little water and mix well to make a lump free batter (neither too thick nor too runny ).
  • Make small balls or tikkis of aloo mixture.
  • Dip each ball in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden. brown
  • Serve aaloo bonda hot with green chutney or imli chutney.Enjoy!!
