Mixed Moong and moth Sprout Salad


Sprouts are rich in iron and vitamin B-complex, making this a great weight loss salad. It is very ideal for the diabetics . The preparation is kept healthy by adding raw tomatoes, onions, coriander, lemon juice and black pepper.

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups whole moong/green gram sprouts

  • 1/2 cups moth bean/matki sprouts

  • 1/4 cups desi chane/ whole bengal gram sprouts

  • 1 nos onion –small finely chopped

  • 1 nos tomato –small finely chopped

  • 1 nos green chilli– finely chopped

  • 1 nos small cucumber - finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander – (chopped)

  • 1 tsp salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/5 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp chaat masala(optional)


  • Firstly heat a cooker on a medium flame. Add sprouted chane, moong and moth beans.
  • Add the salt, black pepper powder and turmeric powder.
  • Mix well and add 1/2 cup of water.
  • Close the lid of the cooker and bring to a whistle.
  • Switch off the flame and release the pressure. Immediately open the lid to retain the colour.
  • Take it out in a bowl.
  • Mix all chopped vegetables, lemon juice chopped coriander and chaat masala.
  • Do the plating and serve
