Ingredients

Serves 4

  • roasted rava/suji 1 cups

  • medium onion, chopped finely 1 nos

  • green chilly, chopped 1 nos

  • chana dal 1 tsp

  • urad dal white 1/2 tbsp

  • medium carrot grated 2 nos

  • ginger grated 1/2 inch

  • garam masala 1/2 tsp

  • sambar masala 1/2 tsp

  • water 2 cups

  • mustard seeds 1 tsp

  • curry leaves 1 sprig

  • cashewnuts broken into 4 pcs 7-8 nos

  • oil 1 tbsp

  • Lemon juice 1 tsp

  • Cilantro leaves chopped 1 tbsp

  • salt or as required 1 tsp

Directions

    In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, add chana, urad dal and cashews

  • 02

    Fry till they become golden in colour.

  • 03

    Add onions , grated carrot, chillies, ginger, curry leaves and fry till they become transparent.

    Fry for a minute and add water.

  • 05

    When the water comes to a boil, lower the flame and add semolina and salt to it.Keep on stirring.

    If the mixture looks dry, then add some more water.simmer for 2 -3 minutes

    Add the sambar masala, and garam masala

    Sprinkle lemon juice

  • 09

    Do the plating, garnish with carrot, cilantro and serve hot wid coconut or green chutney
