Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gms wheat flour


  • 1 nos beetroot


  • 1 nos onion


  • 250 gms potato


  • 2 nos green chillies


  • 1 nos tomato


  • 1 nos carrot


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp urad dal


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 1/2 cups curry leaves


  • 2 tsp powder salt


  • 500 gms oil

Directions

  • Mix wheat flour with two spoons oil and one spoon salt
  • Grate the beetroot grind it in the mixie and filter the juice
  • Pour this beetroot juice into wheat flour and knead it well
  • close this with a wet cloth and soak it for 30 minutes
  • meanwhile we can prepare potato masala
  • Cook the potatoes in the cooker and mash them.
  • Put a Kadai on the gas stove.
  • when it is hot add 3 spoons oil
  • add mustard and urad dal
  • after they splutters add onions
  • Saute it for some time
  • Add carrot pieces , finely chopped green chilies and ginger pieces and saute them for sometime
  • add tomatoes and saute well.
  • add salt and turmeric powder
  • Pour 2 cup of water and add mashed potatoes.
  • Boil them until it reaches thicker consistency and switch off the stove
  • Prepare small puris with the wheat dough and deep fry them in oil.
  • Serve hot with potato masala
