Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 6-8 nos centre pieces surmai /king fish


  • 1 cups green masala


  • 1 cups dessicated coconut


  • 1 1/2 cups curds


  • 100 gms refined oil


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 2-3 nos cloves


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp poppyseeds


  • 2 tbsp salt as per taste


  • 2 nos green chillies


  • 1/4 cups corriander


  • 1/2 cups mint leaves


  • 5-6 nos curry leaves


  • 2 nos potatoes


  • 2 nos onions

Directions

  • Wash all Fish pieces ,apply little salt keep aside 2 minutes
  • Grind ready the green masala with green chillies,corriander,curry leaves , poppy seeds and coconut
  • Wash off salt of the fish and apply the green paste well on all fish
  • Heat oil in a pan put fish to fry after oil is medium hot,fry on slow lightly
  • Fry all pieces keep aside,in same oil fry potato pieces cut in 2 halves and add onions cut long
  • Remove once fried keep aside ,in same oil add all dry spices,bay leaves
  • Now add beaten curds
  • Simmer masala for 5-6minutes
  • Add washed soaked rice cook 12 minutes
  • Once done add potatoes in the rice while cooking so theyre done well
  • Remove the rice now in a rice plate
  • Place the fired fish pieces on the rice
  • Serve hot
