Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 tbsp a) for béchamel sauce with cheese and veggies :butter


  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour


  • 1 cups milk


  • 1/2 cups cheddar cheese


  • 1/3 cups boild corn, capsicum


  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1 pinch nutmeg powder


  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • 1 nos maggi masala penne packet


  • 250 ml water


  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  • 1/4 cups c) for making : small cheese cube

Directions

  • Take a pot and add water into it.
  • Also add salt and olive oil.
  • Add the penne pasta into it and cook it for 8-10 minutes.
  • After that turn off the flame.
  • Drain extra water from it.
  • Let pasta cool down.
  • Rinse it with water.
  • Keep aside.
  • Now Heat a pan.
  • Add Butter into it.
  • make sure the flame is low.
  • when butter melts and start to bubble add all purpose flour.
  • using a wired whisk stir the flour quickly as soon as you add it.
  • Keep on stirring so that no lumps are formed.
  • the frequent stirring helps the flour to cook evenly..
  • You will see the flour frothing and bubbling up while stirring.
  • Saute the flour till you get a nice cooked Aroma from the flour and a pale golden colour.
  • Do not brown the flour.
  • Keep the flame to the lowest and then pour one cup chilled milk in a gentle stream.
  • Pour the milk with one hand and stir the sauce mixture with other.
  • The milk has to be chilled so that lumps are not formed..
  • If you use hot or warm milk or milk at room temperature lumps can be formed.
  • Do stir frequently while the milk warms and heats up.
  • On a low flame, Simmer the source till it thickness.
  • now add grated cheddar cheese.
  • Stir consistency.
  • Cook until cheese melted.
  • Also add a little boiled corn and capsicum.
  • Cook it for 1/2 minute.
  • When the source has thickened well and coats the back of spoon switch off the flame.
  • Keep the sauce pan down and add the seasoning like black pepper powder, nutmeg powder and salt as required.
  • Mix very well.
  • Sauce is ready.
  • Now take two microwave safe shots glass.
  • Add the Béchamel sauce with cheese and veggies.
  • After that arrange the penne around the circular edges.
  • Now pour the remaining sauce into glass.
  • After that put the small cube of cheese on the top.
  • Pre heat oven on 180° c.
  • Bake the penne for 1-2 minutes. (Until cube melts)
  • Serve hot.
  • Pasta cup with Béchamel sauce is ready to be Serve.
