Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 cups for the dal fry :whole green moong


  • 1 nos small onion


  • 1 nos small tomatoe


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric


  • 2 cups water


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/2 nos lemon


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1 tbsp coriander


  • 1 cups for the pasta :penne pasta


  • 2 1/2 cups water


  • 1 tsp olive oil


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes


  • 1 nos amul cheese cube


  • 1 tsp whole wheat flour


  • 1 tbsp butter


  • 3/4 cups for the canapés : makes 6:flour


  • 1/4 tsp kalounji


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 1/4 tsp sugar


  • 1/2 cups mix of lukewarm water +milk

Directions

  • Make the dough for Canapés by mixing all the mentioned ingredeints with lukewarm water and milk to a add soft but stiff dough. Cover and keep for 10 minutes
  • Now grease the back of the muffin tray. Pinch small balls and press over each mould. Prick with fork all over. Grease with some oil.
  • Preheat oven to 200 ° and bake at 180° for 15 to 18 minutes. You will notice its browning from sides. Remove and let it cool.
  • Now remove the Canapés easily and keep aside.
  • For the dal fry soak the green moong for 15 minutes before starting the cooking. Heat a tbsp ghee in a pressure pan. Add ginger garlic paste and saute. Add finely chopped onions and saute till transperant
  • Now add the chopped tomatoes and the spice powders. Add salt. Cover and cook. Add the washed and soaked moong. Add water
  • Cover and cook for 3 whistles. Let the pressure cool. Open and add chopped coriander. If the moong seems a bit hard can simmer covered for few minutes.
  • To make the pasta, boil the penne pasta with 2 cups water, olive oil and a pinch of salt
  • As it becomes aldante, remove and keep aside. In the same pan heat butter, add wheat flour and saute for 30 seconds. Now add grated cheese, 1/2 cup water, chilli flakes and stir till its becomes thick. Sauce is ready. Remove 2 tsps for garnishing.
  • Now add the dal fry (approximately a cup)
  • Mix well
  • Add the cooked penne pasta
  • Gently stir
  • Now scoop immediately into the prepared Canapés. Garnish with few drops of sauce reserved and chopped coriander.
  • Serve immediately with onion rings. Enjoy the dal Roti Pasta Canapés. Makes 6 Canapés. Yummy, tasty
