Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Raw rice 3/4 cups

  • Moong dal 3 tbsp

  • Jaggery 1 cups

  • Cashew nuts 10 nos

  • Raisins 1 tbsp

  • Cardamom powder 1 pinch

  • Ghee 4 tbsp

  • Milk 1/4 cups

Directions

    Wash the rice and moongdal and pressure cook both of them together.

    In a kadai,add a tblsp of ghee and fry the cashewnuts and raisins seperately till golden brown.

    Add jaggery in the kadai and add few tblsp of water to it.

  • 04

    Stir in between till the jaggery melts and filter the impurities.

    Again heat the jaggery syrup in the kadai for 5 mins.

    Mash the cooked rice nicely by adding milk to it.

  • 07

    Add the rice mixture to the jaggery syrup and mix nicely to avoid forming lumps

  • 08

    Keep the stove in low and add ghee , cardamom powder to it.

  • 09

    Garnish with cashew and raisins and transfer to a serving bowl.
