Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 kgs fish


  • 1/4 kgs small onions


  • 4 nos garlic flakes


  • 1/4 cups tomato paste


  • 5 tbsp kashmiri chilly paste


  • 6 nos green chilies


  • 4 tbsp black pepper


  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 3 tbsp turmeric powder


  • 4 tbsp salt to taste


  • 4 tbsp curry leaves


  • 4 tbsp tamarind paste


  • 300 ml coconut milk


  • 1/2 litre oil


  • 2 nos lemon


  • 3-4 tbsp coriander seeds paste


  • 3 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Directions

  • Cut and wash the fish.
  • Add rock salt, turmeric,lemon juice to the fish. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  • Then marinate the fish with ginger garlic paste and ground Kashmiri Chilly Paste.Keep aside.
  • Add 2 Tbsps corn flour to the marinated fish.
  • Sallow fry the fish half cook.
  • For the Gravy Take the onions.
  • Make slices.
  • In a saucepan heat oil and add mustard,fennel seeds powder,onions,tomato paste,curry leaves,garlic and sauté.
  • Sauté over medium heat.
  • Add ground coriander Paste and chilly paste.
  • Sauté all ingredients.
  • Add salt,tamarind Paste,coconut milk. And cook over medium heat.
  • Add half cooked fish.
  • Serve Village style fish gravy !
