Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Basa fillet - 8 pc


  • Lemon juice - 2tablespoon


  • Salt- 2 tablespoon / as per taste


  • Black Pepper Powder - 2teaspoon


  • Garlic- Red Cilli paste- 4 tablespoon


  • Tomato puree - 1cup


  • Red & Green bell pepper - 1cup (thinly sliced )


  • Coconut milk (thickened)- 1 cup


  • Sugar- 1teaspoon


  • Cumin powder - 1teaspoon


  • Paprika powder - 1teaspoon


  • Olive oil - 150 ml


  • Onion- 1cup (chopped)

Directions

  • Clean basa fillets.. marinate with lemon juice and salt for 7minutes
  • After that drain the excess water that comes out from the fish
  • Then again marinate it with 2tablespoon of garlic-red chilli paste
  • Leave them for 10 minutes
  • Heat oil.. fry the garlic-red chilli marinated fish, until brown spots appears on both sides
  • Keep them aside
  • Into the same pan add the rest olive oil
  • Fry chopped onions..
  • Add rest of garlic-red chilli paste
  • Fry them for 2 minutes
  • Add tomato puree
  • Cook them until oil separates
  • Then add paprika powder, cumin powder..
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Add coconut milk.. then add fish fillets.. u can make cube/chunk pieces of the fillets
  • Into an another pan heat some oil and grill the bell peppers
  • Then add this bell peppers to the gravy..
  • The sweet n spicy authentic Brazilian Fish Stew is ready to dig in
  • Serve it with steamed rice.. with a chunk of lemon..
