Ingredients
Serves : 4
1.Cleaned Prawns - 1/2kg
2.Chopped Onions - 2 nos( small sized)
3.Chopped Tomato - 1 no (medium sized)
4.Chopped Green chillies - 3 nos
5.Chopped Garlic - 1/2 tablespoon
6.Chopped Ginger - 1/2 tablespoon
7.Dried Red chillies - 3 nos
8.Tamarind(small lemon sized) - soak it into 1/4 cup water.
9.Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
10.Red chilli Powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon
11.Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
12.Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
13.Pepper Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
14.Coconut Oil - 3 tablespoon
15.Water - 1 cup
16.Curry leaves - 2 spring
17.salt per taste - Around 2 teaspoon
1.Cleaned Prawns - 1/2 kg - For Marinating the Prawns :
2.Lemon Juice - 1/2 tablespoon
3.Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
4.Red chilli powder- 1/4 teaspoon
5.Salt - 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon - Mix everything together and keep aside for 5- 10 minutes.
Directions
Cooking The Prawns :
Add the Marinated Prawns and 1 cup of water in a pan and cook it for 10 minutes in a low to medium flame.And keep it aside.
Cooking the Prawns Roast :
Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil then add dried red chillies,curry leaves,green chillies,ginger and garlic.Saute it for 1 minutes in a low flame.Next add the chopped onion and saute it for 3 minutes,then add tomato and stir it.Cover and cook for 5 minutes in a low flame.Open the lid and add the masalas one by one and saute it.Again cover and cook
it for 3 minutes in a very low flame.Next add the tamarind water sir it and add the cooked prawns and mix it well.Cover and cook for 3 minutes or till it become thick.Add some curry leaves and salt as required,saute it for 1 minutes.Switch off the flame,add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil over the Prawns roast.It will enhance the taste of the dish.Cover the dish and rest it for 5 minutes before serving.
