Full cream milk - 1 liter
Biriyani rice/Basmati Rice - 2 handful or 1/4 cup
Sugar - 2 cup
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Cashews and Raisins - 10 to 15 no
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 teaspoon Salt - 1 pinch of
Take a cooker,add 1 liter milk along with the washed rice and 2 cups of sugar and mix well.
Heat the cooker and boil the milk in high flame and stir occasionally till the sugar get dissolved.
Close the cooker with lid by without adding the whistle and keep the flame into low.
When the vapour coming from the hole,put the whistle and make the flame into very low and cook it for 30 to 35 minutes.In between you get 1 whistle you can off the flame otherwise you should cook it for the required amount of time.Off the flame and allow to go the pressure completely.Open the lid and check the payasam You can get a light pink color payasam.Add some cardamom powder and mix well.Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of ghee when it become hot make the flame in to low and add the cashews and raisins and fry them.Now the time to add the fried cashews and raisins in the payasam and mix it together.Add 1 pinch of salt and mix.Our tasty and easy cooker Pal payasam is ready to serve.You can serve it hot or cold.
